Carrière Uitzendbureau, located in Berkel en Rodenrijs, strives to provide high-quality services, where reliability is an important factor. We see respect for privacy and careful handling of personal data as an important part of the reliability of our services. In this privacy statement you will find general information about how we handle your personal data.

What is personal data?

Personal data is any data that can provide information about an identifiable natural person. Examples of personal data are your name, address, date of birth and bank account number.

Which personal data is processed?

Carrière Uitzendbureau processes your personal data that is necessary for its services.

We process the following personal data when you respond to a vacancy:

  • Name and address details, e-mail address and other contact details
  • Date of birth, gender
  • Curriculum vitae (CV), information on education, motivation, position, internships and work experience
  • Details of training and education you have attended or completed
  • Information regarding availability and leave
  • Other information which is or may be relevant to the assessment of the applicant's suitability, e.g. references and certificates
  • Passport photo (or other visual material) on a voluntary basis

If you can start working/are working/have worked for Carrière Uitzendbureau, we process:

  • Your nationality, citizen service number (BSN), copy of ID, work permit (if applicable)
  • Other data related to personnel, salary and absenteeism registration

We do not process a BSN and copy of ID for freelancers who are going to work/are working/have worked, but do process a copy of the COC extract, VAT number, policy and proof of payment of professional liability insurance.

Bases for processing personal data

Carrière Uitzendbureau processes your personal data on one of the legal bases.

Carrière Uitzendbureau processes the personal data of temporary workers, candidates, permanent staff of Carrière Uitzendbureau and applicants mainly because the processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation or because the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract (the employment contract, mediation or temporary employment contract).

Personal data of customers, suppliers and other contacts is also processed because this is necessary for the performance of the contract.

When do we collect personal data?

We collect your data from the moment you enter or leave your data on our website or the website of one of our franchisees or otherwise register or are registered to use our services.

By using this website, you share data with us via cookies. Technical information (e.g. Internet Protocol (IP) address, date and time of access to the website, search terms used, the pages of the website you have visited and the information you have viewed) is used for the management of the website and to improve the website and its use. We use cookies to keep track of how visitors use our website. We use this knowledge to optimise our website for our visitors. In addition, with your permission, tracking cookies may be used. Purpose of processing personal data

Our goal is to provide you with the best possible service. We want to offer you targeted and personal service and we need your personal data for this.

Carrière Uitzendbureau is an employment mediator for temporary and permanent personnel. Carrière Uitzendbureau mediates temporary and secondment workers, freelancers and recruits and selects permanent personnel.

Personal data of temporary workers, candidates, freelancers, permanent staff of Career Employment Agency and applicants are processed for the purpose of staffing, recruitment & selection, payroll administration, personnel administration, assessment and training.

Personal data of contact persons at customers, suppliers and other contacts are processed for maintaining contacts and concluding agreements.

Personal data not obtained directly from the data subject

If personal data is processed that we have not received directly from you, but from publicly available sources, you will be informed about what type of personal data is involved and what the source of the personal data is within one month.

Based on the justified interest, job matching is used. The algorithm looks for patterns in, on the one hand, all knowledge and skills of (potential) candidates and, on the other hand, what Carrière Uitzendbureau or clients consider to be successful. This increases the predictive value of a match. If Carrière Uitzendbureau processes personal data from public sources (e.g. LinkedIn), you will be informed about what kind of personal data is involved and what the source of the personal data is within one month. Your personal data will be processed on the basis of permission or agreement. If Carrière Uitzendbureau decides not to process your data or you indicate that you do not want Carrière Uitzendbureau to process your personal data, your personal data will be removed and not processed further.

Recipients of your personal data

Your personal data may be passed on to parties to whom Carrière Uitzendbureau provides services, parties providing services to Carrière Uitzendbureau, or other business contacts and government bodies, if this is necessary for the purpose of processing or is necessary for the performance of a legal obligation. The provision of personal data is always in accordance with the purpose of the processing of personal data.

Your personal data may be transferred outside the Netherlands. Transfers shall only be made to countries with an adequate level of protection.

Personal data security

We make every effort to protect your personal data as much as possible against unauthorised access, loss or theft. We have an internal policy to ensure that our services are set up in such a way that an appropriate level of security applies. Carrière Uitzendbureau’s employees will only have access to your personal data if this is necessary.

If and to the extent that information is provided to processors who provide services on behalf of Carrière Uitzendbureau, Carrière Uitzendbureau has concluded a processing agreement with them. Optimum security has also been agreed with the processors.

Retention periods

We need your personal data in order to provide you with a good service. This also determines the period of time that we apply to the storage of your personal data. Our basic principle is that we only retain personal data for as long as necessary to provide you with the service. After this, we will remove your personal data.

In some cases, we are required by law to retain personal data for a longer period of time. For example, according to tax law, it is mandatory to retain fiscally relevant personal data for seven years.

Personal data may be deleted at an earlier time if Carrière Uitzendbureau receives a message from you with the request to delete your personal data.
